So as I've mentioned before, we've had many problems with our landlord, mostly the fact that he never repairs any problems, and yes they are urgent. It's been over 6 months ana he still hasn't done anything. (won't go into specifics).
Anyway, for that and other reasons we decided to move (we wanted to anyway).
He came last week to do an inspection, we again showed him the problems and he acted as though it was the first time he'd been told.
Now to the actual point. He told my dh yesterday that he had several viewings arranged for between 11-1 today (didn't ask if that was okay).
We are of course packing, so have a lot of boxes. Last night we cleaned the whole house, and made sure the boxes and suitcases are as neat and tidy as possible in the loft (have a loft conversion. LL made a comment last week, we are packing. House is usually tidy).
We also have a 2 year old.
Anyway I purposely didn't let him have his nap this morning, due to expecting the LL to do the viewings.
LL didn't turn up, and it's now gone 1. My toddler was tired and wanted his sleep. So he is now in bed.
My question: if the LL turns up while my son is sleeping, can I insist they can not go into his room? I do not want strangers going in his room when he is asleep. After all, we were told between 11-1, so I made sure he was awake so they could look, and it's now past that.
Or can the LL still insist on the potential tenants viewing the room (fwiw, when he came to do the inspection, ds was asleep and he didn't insist on going in there, but I wasn't sure if he might with it being a viewing).
Thank you for reading.
