No piped gas?

Morning. We are looking at a new house. The one we have seen is in a village location, and has electric only as it’s sourse of heating. The estate agent said there is no piped gas to that village yet another couple of houses around the corner that are also for sale have gas central heating.
How do I find out if there is piped gas to that village?

No mains gas in our village in the UK either and we converted from LPG to oil in 1994. It's no hassle, and we have a range that does cooking, CH and HW.

This is all really good to know. My husband spoke to some companies about putting in oil fired heating . The quotes are not too bad. There is also super fast broadband there too.
It’s all looking a bit hopeful now. However my heart will break if we leave our current house. But that’s another thread!!!
