Kitchen layout help - awkward doors!

We are knocking through our kitchen and dining room. Obviously there are currently two doors in - one to dining room and one to kitchen. We would only need one door to the new room but neither are ideal to keep. Keeping the kitchen door and blocking dining room reduces the usable kitchen we can have as it is in the corner of our two main kitchen runs. Keeping just the dining room door means we would have the ideal L shaped kitchen, but I think it’s quite a walk from hall to kitchen part of kitchen diner and am worried it doesn’t ‘flow’ properly. Blocking both doors and adding a new one doesn’t seem to work as we would lose wall needed for kitchen run.

I’m leaning towards keeping both doors and compromising on the kitchen but need help!

Current layout attached assuming we keep both doors. If we lose kitchen door we could have an extra corner of cupboards and worktop. You can’t see dining room on the plan but it’s a big square room and will have dining table and sofa area.

Please help - which door would you lose, if any?

Also can't see plan, but we're in the process of doing similar and chose to block up the kitchen door - firstly because it gave us more options for kitchen layout, but also because the first thing DH does when he comes in is empty his pockets onto the first available surface, and I said it would drive me bats if that was the kitchen worktop. I take your point about the walk from the hall, but how often do you actually walk from the front door straight to the far end of the kitchen?

Blocking kitchen door worked best in a couple of houses I renovated.
Gives far more options for kitchen layout.

Get rid of the kitchen door.

Lose the kitchen door. Or the kitchen will end up being a corridor to get to the dining room - not great if you're dealing with hot pans, kettles etc

I would be tempted to move the kitchen door to the bottom RH corner. That would allow you to have the L shaped kitchen, but still access the kitchen directly from the hall. Do you really want to be carrying bags of shopping in through the dining room? I'd probably also be tempted to keep the dining room door unless you specifically needed the space. Would make the hall potentially look less odd and would allow guests in the dining room to come/go without having to walk through the kitchen..

I’m wondering about moving the kitchen door to the right hand side parkview. Would it not be weird having two doors right next to each other though into one room?

I don't think so.. Whilst I agree technically it will 2 doors into the same space, I would envisage it will feel very much like a kitchen door and a dining room door in practice. The 2 spaces although connected, are quite discrete.
