Neff Hide and Slide door problem

We have just spent a fortune on all new Neff appliances.

We have had it working for a couple of weeks. However, I now have dribble marks on the inside of my steam oven door which I now can’t get to, to wipe off. I called Neff and they referred me to a page in the instruction manual which explains how to remove the door and then clean it – this is not something I feel confident doing or that an average person is expected to do, it is more of an engineer’s job. I do not want to break my new oven!!

They said that if I wanted an engineer to come that I would have to pay £95 engineer call out charge.

This is obviously a massive design fault wondered if anyone has also had this problem??

Sounds like a faff! There are videos on YouTube on how to do it.

I think it is quite straightforward to do and that you should give it a go. If you don't feel confident to try on your own do you have a competent friend who is willing to sit in your kitchen and drink coffee while you give it a try. Maybe just a bit of moral support is needed?

The first time I removed mine I was a bit worried but now I know how to do it I do so without thinking. It really isn't a design fault but a design feature because it makes cleaning so much easier.

My oven not nearly as nice as a Neff has this too. I once dropped the sodding door when trying to get it out and had to buy a new one, so do lift it out carefully. It is easy to do, however, as long as you aren't as clumsy as I am.
