Going yeah totally wavy textured, they're amazing quality to we had them in light grey, they was my pride and joy Blush I begged and begged DH for them as he wasn't so keen on their price 🙄 totally worth it!

I think my measurements are off somewhere as I'm sure the bathrooms biggest than any of the ones shown, when we first got the house it had a normal sized bath running down the shorter side and a large monstrosity of a wood clad cupboard starting at the bottom of the bath and running up to the door it was that big both my kids where hiding in there( very comfortably) at the same time thinking they were hilarious while I was running round like a headless chicken thinking they'd wondered off 🤦🏼‍♀️

I've just had a new bathroom and it looks amazing it's grey matble effect matt tiles with slight glitter In them and I've had a mosaic irredecent tile running top to bottom in one line. I'm very happy except in hind sight there are some mistakes I have made that might help you.... number one I've chosen a free standing vanity unit sink.... I went for a 800mm wide one because I thought it would fit and look nice, the problem being now it's fitted is that even though it looks nice and not cramped when I'm on the loo at the side of the unit there isn't enough elbow space and when you move arms loo roll etc i whack my elbow on the corner of pedestal. Another thing is the type of shower you get.... I got a fancy powerful one with overhead square saturator head.... I wish now I had chosen a Mira shower with a cut off timer as I have a teenager that spends a long time in the shower and running up huge bills and soooo many arguments! Also I went for a plain white shower curtain (shower in bath) I hate shower screens and my bathroom is small and a shower screen would cut my bathroom in half, so I just throw the Curtain over the rail when using the bath and it makes being in the bath a nicer expetiemce so not boxed in. Hope this helps

Mrs thank you! I'll be taking on board the timer shower, I once walked in on my eldest trying to 'swim' in the shower cubicle 30 mins after first getting in Hmm we used to have a fancy pancy shower with a big soaker and we NEVER used it, if I was washing my hair it just wasn't powerful enough as I've got very thick hair and if I wasn't washing it and trying to keep it dry it was impossible, thank god we had a normal shower head too 🙌🏼

I was thinking of going for a wall hung sink with a draw underneath but we might need more storage than that.

My pedestal sink unit is huge with 3 big drawers, its wall mounted with floor standing, Google "ROCA grey 800mm freestanding vanity unit" The drawers are very big and fit towels, loo rolls and toiletries in.

That's a good size MrsPitt.

One of the most common mistakes in bathrooms is not enough storage - professional interior designers included.

user263781638 · 14/10/2017 20:33

Mrs I love that! I've seen one pretty similar today. I need storage our old bathroom had a full wall of vanity units with sooooo many draws and we still managed to fill them up 🙈

I've drawn myself up s rough plan of what I'm wanting after going a few bathroom places today, they all said I'd easily be able to fit my preferred bath and shower in 🤞🏼

Today's revised plan

I wouldn't like the floor space created by the rectangle shower cubicle and the corner bath. I think it would look smoother with a quadrant shower cubicle as well

user263781638 · 14/10/2017 21:47

I'm having like a little tiled half wall between if you know what I mean because I didn't like the angles of them so maybe it'll separate them? Now I'm confused again because I know what you mean 😩

I think it makes some of the floor space in front of the bath look tricky to use... especially if you've kids

Yeah I know what you mean I don't know I seem to have ruled out a quadrant, I think I'm planning a hotel style bathroom rather than a practical 'you've got two kids' kind of bathroom 🙄
I need to see it in 3D form to how it's actually going to work and no bathroom places where willing to do that at this stage I'm to impatient.

Yeah imagine bending over the bath and bumping yourself on the corner of the shower. Don't know how close it would be though.

user263781638 · 14/10/2017 22:08

There would be half a metre between the shower and the bath give or take a few cm I'm just not used to having a bath so it's hard to picture it all.
