We're looking at this house... perfect layout for what we want to do, except the bathroom on the top floor doesn't have a loo.
We're considering opening up the kitchen in both directions (into the breakfast room and utility area) so we'd lose the downstairs loo, leaving us with just the one on the first floor (which is not in the bathroom).
We really want to have a proper bathroom on the top floor so it's a more self-contained space for guests and possible air bnb.
I assume that if it was easy to get the plumbing for a loo into that room, it would have been done when the main bedroom on that floor was split in two and the bathroom created (not that long ago). So I'm guessing it's going to be awkward. But does 'awkward' in this scenario mean 'doable but a bit of a pain' or 'well-nigh impossible and expensive'?
The house is terraced, so the main body (the square part which goes up all three floors) is attached both sides, and the rear extension is attached all the way back on that one side.
The SVP pipe runs up the side of the house roughly in line with the loo on the first floor.
Any thoughts?
