Surely this can't be an abnormal request? Cleaning on the day of the move

I can't believe how difficult this is proving to be to arrange/get quotes for. Am I phrasing it badly?!

I'm basically trying to get a cleaner(s) to come in on the day we move and as the packers are closing down rooms, clean behind them?

These are people that are advertising move out cleans/end of tenancy cleans Confused

So many have asked what day the house will be empty? Well, never really.

Please tell me if I am asking for the unrealistic because I'm starting to think I've lost it.

Packers said they will come for 8am and it will take a few hours, so there's feasibly be only a couple of hours (if that) before we have to hand over the keys.

Any sage words of advice gratefully received on this.

Lucisky - I've not been called noble before so thank you Grin

When we bought our current house it was spotless - even the oven had been professionally cleaned so I wanted to do the same for my buyer, who's lovely and has been the most low-maintenance buyer you could hope for.

Anyway, a couple of local cleaners have come back to me and so I'm going to have them for 4hrs so they can do my old and some of the new house, if they have time.

I won't bother getting the almost new oven cleaned then, sounds like it would be overkill Blush
