How can I make a coloured bathroom suite look good?

Is there no point trying?

I am on a bit of a budget but the bathroom is vile. It is a very pale grey, but is fabulous quality. I thought if I re tiled in white? Or am I clutching at straws?

I'm also wary of wasting money when I eventually rip out the suite if I have spent on tiles etc now.

I really like that colour. I think white or very pale yellow tiles would look great. If you like bolder colours try mid blue. Use pale green accessories for a "pop."

I love coloured bathroom suites. I'm begging DP to let me buy a reclaimed yellow one at the moment.

Also update the bath panel, they're not a huge amount of money and it will look tonnes better.

It looks OK - not grubby or anything. I'd live with it until you have a good idea of what you want and a bit more to spend.

You could go scandi. Mustard yellow and then teal or sky blue.

How about white tiles and wood with darker grey on the walls?

Paint the dark wood white or perhaps a light blue or yellow colour and see how it looks.

I'd paint everything including tiles in grey and blush pink and see where that gets you. (Other contrast colours are available...). You can also get tile stickers which might cover the patterned tiles better, and are easily changed- so you could go for the uber fashionable geo shapes that are around, and not care that it will date.

Definitely look at Pinterest - coloured suites are on their way back in.

I don't think the suite is your problem - it's the tiles and the dark wood.

Could you just replace the patterened tiles? I've just done that exact same thing in my bathroom (I also have a pale grey suite)
