Hall, stairs and landing painting

I'm a total DIY novice but want to paint my hall, stairs and landing. My house is a modern build 3 bed, so there are no scarily high Victorian ceilings to reach. Any tips or advice? Or should I just get someone to do it for me? (And roughly how much would that cost?) TIA

We've just done ours ourselves - 80s house so not high ceilings. You can buy extending poles which come with paint pads, but we actually found it easier to duct tape a small roller to the pole for the main wall, and do the cutting in (very carefully) with a paintbrush. It's not perfect but it's fine - no-one will ever be close enough to see it properly!

We have been decorating our whole house so are quite practiced at painting now - I think we'd have struggled if we'd done the landing first.

Yes, as Vickicherry says, the long poles make it easy. I did the same, taping a brush or roller to the end of the pole. It is also surprising how much you can reach just on your own two feet. You need plenty of dust sheets though - I don't if it was just me but I was a bit cack handed and managed to flick quite a bit of paint about, difficult to fine control a brush on a long pole.

We painted all our rooms but paid for stairs and landings. We are also 3 floors and I think it was around £900 Inc paint
