We're looking for a range cooker for our new kitchen, a dual fuel arrangement with a gas hob and electric ovens. What do you all think of Rangemaster and if you have one which model?

We've had the Nexus 110 dual fuel in black with gas burners (inc a wok burner) an electric griddle thingy and electric ovens - absolutely love it! Only problem was a slightly noisey cooling fan after about 18 months fixed by Rangemaster within a couple of days at no charge. I would recommend it

We have this one - dual . I probably love it a little too much!

Excel 110

Thank you for your replies. I love the look of the Excel 110 and would really like the slow cook oven However our current kitchen design has been set up for a 90mm range. Does anyone have one? please? I really like the look of the Nexus 90. Are there better options than Rangemaster?

I had this one at my old house, we bought it at a rangemaster design centre, which offer excellent prices on rangemaster, couldn't fault it and used it for 5 years.

Pashmina - do these Design centres do better prices than say JL or AO? I've never heard of them and am about to buy a range and a hood so would appreciate any savings!

I had the classic 90 with induction top. Worth every penny and I would have another in a heartbeat. It was beautiful and I very much miss it!

I've got the excel 110 and I love it although it's had the noisy cooling fan issue too, now fixed. What I would say is that the slow cooker oven is a bit small, I keep meaning to try and find a shallow casserole dish to fit it and keep forgetting. It's great for warming plates and keeping stuff hot through. I've got the induction hob and it's great.

yes - that was the case when we purchased, rangemaster gave them the best deals. the rangemaster website will show you where your nearest one is and they will have a large range on display and can answer any questions.

Thanks again everyone. How does everyone get along with the 'Handyrack' thing? I do a roast almost every week and always use a covered roaster so this would be a big change for me. Can the rack be removed?

I use the handy rack, works well in terms of being easy to use but as it's attached to the door, the door does get quite splattered (although I'm someone who doesn't put foil over a roast!. Very easy to remove.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 06/09/2017 10:17

I have the classic 110 dual fuel, love it.
The handyrack is handy, though come to think of it I haven't used it much lately.

coconutwater1 · 06/09/2017 10:37

Have the professional ceramic 100, (bout 5 years old)all the colour on the knobs is wearing badly, the metallic colour is coming off on the door handles, the top of the hob around the edges have not fared well with moving pans.

Had a thermostat almost cause a fire (lucky we were in, smaller oven on a low heat) it was literally glowing orange and melted the knob above.

Left one side of the grill pan on and it cracked the handle as it was pushed in just a little too much

Hate the handyrack, used it a few times but found I kept knocking it when getting to other shelves, now its in the garage, and its a pain in the backside to clean outside.

So no I may have a lemon, but never buying another. Had a gas one previously in another house and it was much better made more solid and no complaints about it at all.

Really happy as kitchen guy says 110 will be fine. We're impressed by the Excel, but concerned that some reviews say slow cook oven is very small? What do you all think, what size casserole dish can you get in it? And can the handyrack be removed?
