Decking to go under hot tub?

I need help, single mum who has no idea what she's doing.

Dd has been awarding a grant for a hot tub (she has muscle and bone problems), hot tub has been ordered and is on its way. I have an area in the garden which at the moment is graveled but reasonably flat. Can I lay decking squares like in the link below? Will they take the weight or a inflatable 2-4 man lazy spa?

It is likely to settle and not be particularly flat. These decking squares usually don't last that we'll (they rend to end up twisted and uneven) as there is no structure to anchor to. Opinions vary but I think it's just a case of what you are willing to tolerate. If it's going to be left up most of the time what about sitting it on a piece of ply just over sized to stop stones etc. Ply will eventually rot out but it's cheap and cheerful. If you want the whole area improved then either traditional decking of possibly those same decking squares would suffice, noting the limitations of the latter.

or possibly
Damb auto correct!
ie surrounding the spa.

From the reviews I wouldn't touch those with a barge pole. Decking in the UK needs treatment, chicken wire or a lot of maintenance or it becomes very slippery.

Ok, so the decking squares are a no no. Can I just place it on sand? I'm thinking that In a few weeks it will be packed away for winter so only needs to be something to last until then, then maybe I can get a patio sorted for next summer?

If it's a stop gap just stand it on a sheet of ply or even OSB (cheap but not durable). Sand is a bit messy and the local cats will love it!

Try the plastic decking from ikea?
