I'm so so bored of waiting. I'm buying a house and the whole process has taken well over a year and is so frustrating. We are finally ready to exchange but have heard nothing from the solicitors. It feels like it will go on forever. This is the second house we've tried to buy and I don't think I could start again if it fell through. What are you waiting for and how do you cope/distract yourself?

We exchanged last Monday. At last. And following a very stressful Friday just before when our buyers' solicitor announced they'd finished all conveyancing, signed the file off as ok to proceed but weren't prepared to discuss exchange or completion dates. WTF?!

Fibally resolved when I told the EA to politely let my buyers (about to jet off on their 2 week hol & I could see it dragging on while they were away with no end in sight) that if money wasn't with their solicitor by that evening & ready for exchange Monday they wouldn't be buying my house. Bloody meant it too!

What a relief but now all moving logistics etc to work out. H at the tip right now having cleared shed.
