Position of gas range cooker, any tips or ideas?

Rejigging the kitchen and we have bought a range cooker, 8 burners and 2 ovens
I really want to put it on a wall by itself but will it be OK in a corner, or does it need a space between the cooker and the wall?

By moving it I get extra workspace in the kitchen
I can't find any regulations online about this and I don't have the instruction manual

Anyone with insight or experience?

The biggest thing if you have units either side of it is that you will have to carry things from the hob or oven and put them down somewhere. It is a lot more convenient to have worktop at least on one side. The instructions for the particular cooker will tell you how much space there needs to be either side of the hob. Because it's gas, you can't have switches and sockets within set distances of the hob - it's called the hot zone in regs.

If you don't have units either side...

If you look the instructions up online - you may find that it needs to be approx 139mm away from the wall for door swing - so avoid putting it right into the corner. Also not infront of a window. There should be other info in the online instructions that you should adhere to too ... landing space one or both sides of a cooker is good as a safety aspect .

Thank you both
I have a 30cm base unit that I can fit between the wall and the cooker, it does make sense to have a bit of a space to one side at least
