Bike shed with easy access

I tried this in cycling but only got one response

I need a bike shed/storage unit I can get my bike in and out of easily

The bike is electric so longer & heavier than normal

I will cement in a metal bar/hoop thing to lock it too but I need easy access doors - most have a lip so you have to lift them or side doors so you have to shift the bike about a bit & I can't

Any ideas?

I thought asgard would have something.

But most have lips except this which I imagine would be very expensive:

Could you add a little ramp both sides?

That looks perfect....i wonder how much it is?

Shall I ring them?

ooh, good call, that has nice little ramps as standard. I wonder if you could get them to do you one of the basic bike sheds but with the ramps from the motorcycle one. Might save a few hundred. Worth a call to discuss.

That is good, but a bit big I think full height and 9 feet long

Hopefully they will respond to my email with a disability friendly solution Grin

I wonder if I could get one made out of wood like a small shed?

Would that look any better?

I just bought a Keter Factor 6 x 4 shed for my cargo bike. It's got an extra wide opening door so I can just wheel it in. It looks pretty cute down the side of the house and I bought and alarmed padlock to go on the door so that it screams bloody murder if it's tampered with.

The whole dark bit opens - like a second little door, so it's a 90cm wide opening nearly, which means the enormobike wheels right in. I could ride it in and then get off and still get out :)

katymac · 31/07/2017 21:30

That could possibly work if I put it i the ack garden, I'd kind of hoped I could get something low to put on the drive

Mine is against the side of the house - it's pretty neat looking.

katymac · 01/08/2017 10:05

We will be in a terrace so that won't work sadly

They said they can't sell me that big one - poop!
