Recommend me your toilet

We're building a house, the budget has gone a bit wrong, we need 4 (!) toilets. Want a decent flush, easy to clean (no fancy styling to gather dust/grime) and soft close lid. Just bog standard cistern and pan. Anyone got any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

One to avoid is the city space from baths tore. Great shape but rubbish flush.
Sorry not to be any help!

bog standard Grin

I wouldn't recommend either of ours. They always seem to have wee in them.

Pun was intended Grin. Looking at the Oakley close coupled toilet from Victoria plumb. At £139 it's a bit more than we wanted to spend but I don't want something shit Wink for something so important. Anyone got one?

We've got a Pura Flite toilet. Very happy with it and good discounts from local bathroom supplier www.purabathrooms.co.uk/catalog/flite

Have you thought to make one of them a higher than normal toilet. We had one put in our purpose built disabled shower room 17 years ago for my husband aged 49 years with arthritic knees. Four years ago when we had a new upstairs bathroom we had a higher toilet put in there. Now I have 2 arthritic knees waiting for replacement, my DD has had knee problems since she was 12, now 38 she finds it very difficult to use a normal toilet. My DS has started to complain about his knees, he is 36. Everyone who uses our toilets to sit down say that are going to change their toilet to a higher one.

I have just replaced three loos, used Victoria plumb, quite impressed with the service. A part was missing and they couriered it next day.

Our plumber thought the internal mechanisms were a bit cheap looking but all fine so far.

Thanks all. I like the idea of a high one but at this stage I just need the darn house done as quickly as possible so don't want anything to add even a second of complexity.

You really do need to try sitting on them in a showroom - we had a family bathroom and an en suite replaced at the same time, but with different models of toilet pan (same manufacturer). Family one was a couple of inches lower than the en suite and always took me by surprise 🤔

We have an ideal standard one which we got out b&q.. Works well, good flush, soft close seat, pan doesn't go cold like some so comfy to sit on (no freezing bum in the night ) very sturdy.

Downstairs loo was a wicks take away, again good flush, seat that came with it was rubbish so we got a replacement soft close seat for it.

Extension showeroom loo, we got from the builders trade place. Don't know the make but total rubbish, seat fell off. Have tried several new ones and can't get one to fit properly. Seriously thinking about replacing it with the same one in main bathroom.

Oh and had the ideal standard one for 5 years now along with the sink and bath to match.
