Should we offer over the asking price?

Or is it quite stagnant?

Offer what you think something is worth - I take it you are asking because the EA you dealt with recently tried to get you to make an over asking price offer for a house you liked? What happened with that; I thought they were getting back to you about it?

They got back to me to say my offer was excepted but I had already offered on another one

I like the second one more but they have 3 asking price offers and have asked us to go to sealed bids

Must be an amazing house, most houses in Ips are being reduced after a few weeks to get a sale.

Hmm - do bear in mind that if the mortgage valuation doesn't match the agreed sale price then you either have to make up the shortfall or renegotiate with the seller, unless you can get another, higher, valuation with a different mortgage company.

What have similar houses been going for OP and how long do you have to get your bid in? If different estate agents are dealing with the two houses you might want to keep the first one on the hook until you know the outcome of the sealed bids process.

We have cash

We had until 6

We offered & we got it!

Last house sold in 2004 on that road (according to right move)......a house is worth what you pay for it I guess

Thanks -I feel morepositive now
We saw 28 houses and only 3 could we have lived in
The one we offered on & were refused
The one that was a steel frame constructon and therefore not a great buy
& this one which we love the most

We feel very confident we can future proof it so we can stay when we are older & it will be lovely to live in now

Big lounge which will be our bedroom
Big kitchen/diner which we will have sofas/TV in
3 lovely big rooms - DD, sewing/spare (for me), Gym/laundry (for dh)
Shed for tools
Conservatory for sitting in

So, so happy
