Internal window colour

Hi, my mother in law is looking for a colour for her internal window frames.

She has kinda suggested 'ivory' but can anyone suggest a nice shade (maybe F&B) that is not too 'yellowy' but will still look modern, clean and warm.

She would consider having door frames and skirting done in the same colour. I can't really ask her to go look as she just gets overwhelmed and would prefer if I went back to her with a choice of 3 or 4.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Just to add, she is having the outside of the frames in a green (Cement Grey RAL)

F&B Slipper Satin would be lovely. I personally like Off White, but I think it's a tad dark for many people's tastes.

We have F & B satin slipper. Looks lighter than normal on the window frames because of all the light coming through the window. I started doing all the wood work in SS but had to change to Wimborne white as the SS looked really bad with some of my wall paint choices. So I would say, SS can look great, but it will restrict your choice of wall points. Something g more neutral (e.g pointing or Wimborne white) may give you more wall options.

Thanks guys. My MIL thinks she wants the walls in Elephants breath (she has never even seen the colour, but I digress)

But anyway I saw this colour scheme and Winborn white looks great in combination with it.

I think SS might be a bit 'pink'?

Yes you're right, Slipper Satin wouldn't work with Elephants Breath. SS goes well with more greeny colours and EB has a lilac-y undertone. Wimborne White is a good suggestion.

We have EB with Skimming Stone currently, but I don't love it, so we are repainting soon.

Ginjin thanks.

Is it EB you don't like, or a combination of the two? Cheers!

I think it's the combination - I'm not a fan of Skimming Stone anymore (in our house). We have an old house with bare brick and terracotta tiles etc, and I think the more modern look of grey doesn't suit it or our furnishings. I do think EB can be lovely in the right house.

EB doesn't go with satin slipper for the reason ginjin says. Satin slipper is quite greeny and doesn't work with the pink undertone of EB.

EB goes well with Skimming stone. We have both in our house as wall colours. Personally, I preferred Skimming Stone to EB but I am not a big fan of grey. We seems to go with pretty much everything.

I think the thing with F&B is the depth of the colours mean they look completely different in different rooms. I like that about them. We have Skimming Stone in the spare bedroom and it doesn't look grey at all. But in the lounge and kitchen it looked so grey, and just not right.
