External door with openable glazed panel - any ideas? (but not stable door)

We're putting a new door on our utility room and we want it to be half glazed - but since the room gets quite stuffy and smelly in the summer (location of cats' litter trays), in an ideal world we would have the glazed bit with an openable section. The only thing I've seen like that is a stable door type arrangement, and that's not what we are looking for.

Has anybody come across anything like this at all? Would it be really odd to find a wooden door and ask a glazing company to fit a normal window in the top section?

What about fitting an extractor fan instead? They are not expensive to run and it would also help to dry laundry, etc without the security issues of having a window open in the door.

That's not something I'd considered before, thank you wowfudge. Our fallback position had been a small window being cut in the wall at the side of the door but a fan would probably be a cheaper option.

My friend has just got one fitted like that. It has a window in the top that opens. It's great.

Not a stable door, it's a tilt and turn window.

Sorry, trying to attach a photo of ours.

Our joiner friend did it for us.
I think I've used my photo allowence for today.
I'll do it tomorrow.

Excellent - it's not just a crazy idea of mine. I'd love to see how you did it Mint, and I don't suppose you know whether your friend bought off the shelf or had it made Anarchy?
