Flat roof, rubberised vs felting?

Which has the longer lifespan, good quality, well laid felting or that stuff that looks like poured rubber/resin? & is there much of a price difference? The roof in question isn't visible from ground level so appearances don't matter. I've been offered a 15yr insurance-backed guarantee for felting but I know nothing about the other stuff.

Hi I had the same question when I had my loft dormer roof done and I really done my research if you speak to most professional roofers they will tell you a felt roof is the best apparently the others are just heavily marketed and are more expensive i had mine done with a 20 year guarantee and it was half the price of a rubber roof I'm based in Essex not sure where you are but if you need there number just let me know

Our large flat roof, which is also a terrace, leaked when we bought the house 20 years ago so it had to be replaced. We used a company that did a three stage process of felting, followed by hot bitumen into which thin concrete/fibreglass tiles were embedded. It was guaranteed for 10 years, but we have had absolutely no problems since it was done.
