What about the chimney above it? Is that still there?

We've just had one removed. It took about 3 days for removal and replastering. There was a lot of dust! I wouldn't say it's a huge job, just be prepared for some noise and dust.

i helped do this (2 storey house) and we hired a pro to get on top of roof to remove the chimney. I shifted a skip's worth of bricks in a day. and the dust lingered for about 3 weeks. it's very fine and got around the plastic sheeting we'd stuck up. more heavy labour than technical skill, i'd say

There are chimneys (2) very thin ones (1960's)

Will I need planning permission or building control?

And I guess I'll need reclaimed concrete roof tiles (poop)

Unless I can reuse ones from the new skylight in the bathroom
