Aqualisa digital shower

Anyone got one? We've just had one installed. We've just had one installed, I've had my first shower and I think I hate it.

There doesn't seem to be any way to control the flow, the top shower dripped cold water while the wall shower was doing the proper shower, the water wasn't flowing out as quickly as it was coming in leading to alarmingly high levels of water in the shower tray and it went boiling hot when my son turned on the sink tap to brush his teeth. Was utterly shit.

My elderly mum has one. It's true that there are only two options - on or off. You cannot adjust the water flow, as there is no valve or tap like one would have in a non digital shower. We had to turn the flow of mum's one to the eco setting as otherwise the waste couldn't keep up with the flow and the (very shallow) shower tray overflowed.

Mum loves it now that she's used to it. It's very easy to use and the temperature never fluctuates - but she lives alone so doesn’t have the problem of someone turning other taps on while she's in the shower.

We had one in our last house and it was fantastic. Sounds more like your system is the problem than the shower. We ran ours off a sealed system (we had a megaflow) - not sure if that makes a difference. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can come along and help, I just know they are a good make.

we inherited one when we moved in, I hate it but am aware I in the minority- most plumbers, etc think they are wonderful. I really hate mine, never gets hot enough for me, power cuts wreak havoc with it, shower head doesn't sit securely in its holder....I really hate it.

"never gets hot enough for me"

I like Aqualisa showers, though I also like simplicity, and IMO a remote-controlled digital shower has more to go wrong.

However showers sold in the last 20 years or so have anti-scald devices which limit the maximum temperature. If you are willing to run the risk of fainting in the shower and being cooked like a lobster, perhaps you could have yours recalibrated.

My Australian friend commented yesterday that I could enter my (simple) Aqualisa in a "world's best showers" competition and it is the best he has used in the UK. It doesn't seem special to me.
