As title says we are after some tips for moving house with a cat.
We've bought her a new bowl, a new bed & new scratching post for her to use now so she's already used to it.
She's more of a house cat when she does go out she only sits in our garden.
Our new house is on a quiet estate & opposite an old people's home so not alot of traffic. I just don't want her to go to the new house & start marking/spraying. Smile any tips would be much appreciated.

I've moved a lot and my cats have always been fine. Whilst you're moving keep her in one room and close the door so she doesn't get freaked out by the noise.

And I'd always keep the cats in doors for at least a week. I know people suggest longer but I've got a bit of a scaredy cat so she doesn't go far. I've never had a problem with the cats spraying. Ever.

Very good advice from Cats Protection here:

We (Well the dc) have been harness training the cats so when we move we can still take them out in the garden to get them used to the new territory before we let them out alone.

Get a Feliway diffuser plug in.

I also got Feliway spray thing for her cat basket.

We put our cat in the cattery while we moved and unpacked so that when she came into the new house all our stuff was out and it was fairly familiar. She hid for the first night but we left her to explore at her own pace and she was completely settled in a day or two. We kept her inside for a few weeks then gradually increased the time she could go outside and she was perfectly fine. Take it slow and good luck!
