Will I regret buying a house with a tiny garden?

The house is beautiful and in my budget, in a reasonable area, no major decoration work needed but the garden is a tiny courtyard. Would it put you off? I'm a ftb with no children and none in the immediate plan

We bought a house with a very small garden. It's not ideal by any means, especially with two children, but the location was perfect (literally on the doorstep of an outstanding primary school) so we went for it. I've never regretted it.

Small courtyard garden is perfect pre kids.

Spend some cash on nice pots and some big plants, a few tea light lanterns and a table and chairs and you can create an urban oasis feel.

No it wouldn't put me off as long as it isn't overlooked.
I'd rather have a small manageable garden that doesn't need hours of time spent on it to look finished.

uthredswife unfortunately there's no way I can afford a house with a parking space in this area or even in the worse town down the road, but there's plenty of roads around I could park in if no spaces in that one. I'm fit and healthy so a little walk to my car wouldn't be a problem, and my poor car very rarely gets a wash!

Kokusai that sounds pretty perfect actually..will ring estate agents tomorrow for a chat, I've been convinced....thanks all!

I compromised on the garden for the house. It was worth it.

I would go for it. Grow bamboo, pretty pots. Easy life

Small garden - bliss!! I hate gardening and wish the gardening fairies would find their way to my house but nope they are lost! I have spent the entire day doing the garden by the time it looked nice it was too late to sit in it and enjoy it! Big garden was lovely for a little person but now she is a teen I think what was I thinking getting a house with a huge garden!!
