Probably installing a dormer and a small bathroom, on a footprint of 15ft x 25ft. Any ideas?

We had one done 7 years ago and the build cost was around £35k IIRC. Total cost including bathroom and decorating was about £50k. I guess it would be a little more now. Well worth it though! Good luck - and let me know if you find decent builders as we're hoping to do the same again in our current house Grin

35K for shell finish is about what my central/SW London builder charges - ex rubbish removal, bathroom fitting, door for dormer but inc decorating, sockets. PM me if you want his details.

£48k for l-shaped dormer. Had this done 18 months ago in SW London. White washed all electrics, and basic doors.

50k

Hip to gable one cost us £45k to a plaster finish.

£50k

47k for us to plaster finish. Bigger area tho and we had two bedrooms.

Surrey lofts did ours and have also done 3 friends. We were all happy.

We were told by one company that if we didn't have £50k in the bank not to bother starting it with any company as it wouldn't get finished by the time you add everything on. They were absolutely right!

That's all super helpful- thank you.

It was 30k, including everything, in the SE, about 3 years ago with Loftplan

(25m2 bed plus bathroom plus new stairs)
