I have always preferred gas and I suppose would prefer a gas hob now but for all those that feel the same as me but went with induction (because it's the here and now) do you regret it or would you recommend it ? I know it's popular on MN but for gas fan opinions really thank you

Never thought I'd be a convert from gas but after many years I gave in to the streamlined beauty that is an induction hob. Love it and wouldn't choose to go back to gas now. PP makes a very valid point though about potential issues if power goes off.

Oh and MELSTARYNIGHT Mieile do a special induction hob with a sunken section for woks.....though you may have to sell your car to pay for it.

I've designed several laundry rooms with a pair of integrated washer dryers instead of the standard washer and separate dryer ! So I know it works and is useful for families !!

jigster01 · 10/05/2017 21:14

oneplan I think you've solved it for us !!
As we are 6 adults
(4 grown sons) 2 washer dryers makes more sense and an average of about £550 each that's not too bad

Induction. They are bloody awesome.

As reactive and as controllable as gas but so much easier to clean. And you don't need to remember to turn them off so I don't have to check them a million times.

We cooked everything in a single le creuset casserole when we first moved here because it was the only pan we had that worked. But you don't need to buy expensive pans. The ones we got were pretty reasonable.

Induction. We had Induction but have just moved and the new house has gas. I'll be replacing it as it's terrible in comparison.
