Help with washing machine location

Just wondering if anyone has any idea about moving washing machines as considering moving ours from kitchen to what will be wc/utility when we do the kitchen.
In the picture the blue square shows where the washer currently is next to the sink but we will be putting a dishwasher there. The green square shows where we planned to put it when we get the kitchen done but yesterday I considered putting it in the new utility. Is this a feasible option? There is a cold water pipe running along the bottom of the external wall.

I would put it in the utility. Is there a drain there for it to empty into?

By the look of things, it can drain into the same place as it does currently - just needs a waste pipes fitting through the wall and across. Definitely put the washing machine in the utility room. It's one of the best things about having one, not having the washer in the kitchen.

if you have room, you can put a simple worktop over the washer, and about the same width beside it. That will do for sorting washing, and room for a laundry bin under.

Put shelves on the wall over the worktop, or kitchen wall units.

If there is not one already, fit a good modern extractor fan to keep the room fresh and dry. I see you have stone walls so there is a possibility of some damp.

Thanks all, yes I think it would drain out through where it does now as only a stud wall to go through.
We have a dehumidifier already because we do get damp in the kitchen, hoping that a new extractor in there rather than the 20+ year old one that's in now I'll help and am going to ask about getting one in the utility as well as we will have the tumble dryer in there too.

My TD empties directly into the drain. Not remotely damp inducing! Make sure you have windows that open.

forgot to say that it's very useful to have a sink and drainer in a laundry ute.

the splendid Astracast Bistro seems to have been discontinued, but there is a Rangemaster Mezzo which also has the special feature of needing no worktop under it, the stainless deck extends from front lip to wall, so no worries about water damage to the worktop. In your case you would put the drainer side over the washer, on wall battens, and support the sink end with side panels or a 600mm unit.

There are much cheaper utility sinks as used in catering kitchens that do the same thing. Called "sit-on" sinks.

Look at High Neck taps which are very handy in a ute, they are designed to be tall so you can fill a bucket or watering can under them more easily.
