Hi All,

The models are confusing me :(

At the moment we have water tank/cylinder/boiler so we want to change it to a combi as we are renovating!

I read and heard Worcester boilers are the best so should I go got a 30i, 30si or a 30 cdi

We have a 3 bedroom terrace with 1 bathroom.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Thank you

Quieter modulating pump on the cdi, less system noise due to reduced water velocity as trv's close down.

Quieter operating noise due to noise insulation on the wrap around panel.

For a three bed terraced house though, a 30kw boiler is a bit too big.

Hi Happyfam you really need a site visit by a Worcester Accredited Installer so they can size the boiler to your house. It all depends on your room sizes / heat loss and ultimate KW required to heat the house comfortably as to which boiler you require.

Regarding the 30i and the 30si both good boilers, exactly the same output on heating and hot water. The 30i is slightly cheaper as it is bigger dimension wise so would not be able to fit in a kitchen cupboard as the 30si would.

30cdi Worcester extend the guarantee to 10yrs when installed with their Comfort l or Comfort ll programmer. (8yrs normally when installed by Accredited Installer with a system filter)

There is a 25si which maybe adequate for your house. But as I said get an Accredited Installer (or three) to quote. You will need an Accredited Installer of at least Gold and above to get the maximum guarantee anyway.

We're a Diamond Accredited Worcester Installer and also would have said the 30si or 30i

The 25si has a hot water flow rate of 10.2lpm whereas the 30si and the 30i have flowrates of 12.3lpm, this is the hot water coming out of your tap, so 2lpm is quite a drop!

Go with the advice of the engineers who have actually seen your house give you, not what you read on the internet ;-)

I presume they tested your incoming cold mains flow rate?

Thank you Whatdoiknow31. I called the engineer and he said with 25kw water will drop if we shower and run the kitchen tap. There's 3 adults and 3 kids all the time.
