Very awkward bathroom - critique my plan

The room is 290cm x 160cm

it has two windows (the thick black bits)

i definitely want a full size bath so it will have to be an over the bath shower. That's fine. But the issue is the windows and having the shower head right next to one

i can't move the loo because of the position of the soil pipe. So the only solution I can think of is to have the shower head and valve in the middle of the bath a shower per attached photo. There will still be a window but it's not immediately adjacent to it

any comments on this set up or an alternative would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We have a similar problem and similar layout to your ,but the window at the top of our bath is the only window and is the entire width of the wall. Thinking about making window smaller so we can fit a shower.

I don't think there's an issue with putting the shower valve in the middle of the bath.

Something else to consider is changingnthe bath to one of those p-shaped ones so that the bigger end is where you shower.

I have a shower curtain(and a loo brush 😁). Would rather bung a shower curtain in the machine than descale a screen.

Sorry wasn't meaning to cause offence at the shower curtain Blush I do have a loo brush by the way!

I am wondering if it is possible to have a shower screen type thing in front of the window to prevent the current problems? Or can the shower curtain extend to go round that end of the bath too to block the window? Then as I said, have the shower attached to the wall right by the window?

Our bath/shower is next to the window, to avoid the water all over the blinds/sill we have a enclosed curtain. Sorry for the pic missing the curtain (mid spring clean)

Just another does that shower curtain stick to you?! I am considering something similar and have been following this thread with interest......

Nope, I love it - we bought 2 shower curtains with a light weight sewn at the base so they hang down. But no sticking at all or feeling claustrophobic. We did buy an extra wide bath though but no idea how much the extra cm help.

Thanks Justanother - I'm now off to google weighted shower curtains.......

We used to live in a flat with this arrangement (though without that second window). The owners built a 3/4 height wall or so at the end of the bath closer to the door, and the shower was on that. You could then have the sink back onto it, have a nice mirror above with some lighting around it? Or perhaps some shelving. There was noting on the back of our wall and I always felt it was a bit of wasted space. We arranged a group of potted ferns along the top of the wall. The ceilings were pretty high so it didn't make the room too dark, and you have the second window anyway. You'd have to change the swing of the door. Btw, they also had a shower screen, which we swapped out for a shower curtain for our tenure, so the MN opinion is not united! Wink
