What to do about damning video on house we are buying?

Randomly doing some historic research on the new house we are buying and came across a YouTube video of a tenant (left in 2015) who recorded a goodbye video.
It shows some pretty bad aspects of the house and I'm not sure how to take it?
Do I believe what's said And walk away? Or is it an aggrieved tenant trying to spoil the sale? I can PM people a link if they are interested in seeing it.

The video will still be there when you come to sell!

We haven't had the survey done yet. We just went yesterday to measure up/check water pressure/general check over and my husband noticed the sash windows only opened in 3 rooms due to them being painted shut. It's being sold As a refurbished house. It has been empty since July.

That video was posted last july.
I don't think it has been refubed if the windows are painted shut. Have they just painted over all the leak and damp and made it look fresher?

if it feels dodgy it's dodgy..... trust your instincts

There is a different kitchen and bathroom now, so some work has been done

If the sashes have been painted shut, it's a cheapo refurb, not a full one. As a PP suggested, send your surveyor the video link, and ask him to have a really good check with his damp meter in that leaky corner.

Looks as if it could be a lovely house...

It looks like a lovely house and the departing tenant is behaving like a twat. The fire in the basement was due to a tumble-dryer fire, which are sadly all too common, and I would suspect the damp in the wall in the master bedroom was caused either by a leaking gutter or by the a leak from the bath upstairs (not sure, obviously, what is above the master bedroom). Twat tenant admits to kicking in the banisters and had left the toilet in the basement filthy - he seemed to be relishing his landlady seeing the loo like that. I assume you will have a survey? Please don't be put off by this nasty film - I have no idea whether the landlord/owner is a good person or a Rachman-type individual, but all that matters is that the house is right for you, or can be made right for you.
