Hi all

Does anyone know if this is generally a slow time of year to sell or offer any advice?

We put our 2 bed maisonette up for sale last month with an online estate agent, first week was great, had 6 viewings booked but then 3 cancelled at last minute and the ones that did show left feedback that the place was lovely but wanted a bigger second bedroom. The listing does state second bedroom is a single room, also very clear in picture and floor plan what size it is. We do have 96 years on lease, front and private back garden and a summer house which we use as a home gym. Also short walk to station which is due to be crossrail.
The second week, 2 viewings booked but they didnt turn up and nothing ever since.

im getting increasingly frustrated as want to move out of the area and settle in before maternity leave ends in August. Partner is just as frustrated and we're getting on eachothers nerves questioning why no viewings?

Meanwhile, a local estate agent keeps calling me asking how the sale is going and that they really need a property like ours as have clients looking, no doubt a tactic to try and get us with them.

All this waiting is driving me mad!

Things moving mega fast where I am (south midlands) our house sold in 16 days. Of the 90 houses I've got saved on RM over 2/3rds are now sold! All the agents I've spoke. To say there are more buyers than sellers here so market very competitive

FTB waves

I'm looking for a house to buy - renting at the moment so no chain. And I've got a decent budget of around 550k for a 3bed house. Looking in London though, so my budget doesn't go far. There seems to be a lot stuck on the market in the areas I'm looking in. Either no-one is offering or no one is accepting offers. We've been on hold with the search as we just have had our first child.

We've been browsing the market for months and in our area and price range the houses are just not moving. It's really frustrating as we want to move!

It really does feel like the market is at a stalemate... vendors are refusing to accept that their properties aren't what they'd like to think they're worth and buyers are refusing to pay the (mostly) kite flying asking prices.

Look at the waiting for viewings thread - everyone is finding it a bit slow and (sorry to say) a lot of chains breaking over Brexit. I am now onto my third time under offer! If you don't have to move now, I would leave it for a bit personally
