Shower head

We have a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi Classic boiler and a thermostatic controlled shower. We want to increase the flow and were thinking of changing the shower head to one with larger holes. Not bothered about multi function head types either. The shower is Vado.

Any suggestions please?

it might not work, because with a combi, the amount and temperature of hot flow is limited by the boiler and by the incoming watermain. For example, if you run your bath tap into a bucket, time it to full, and calculate litres per minute of fully-hot water, you might get round about 10-12 litres per minute. The faster the water runs the less hot it will be. Try it. It will be hotter in summer than in winter because the incoming supply is not so cold.

Then measure the hot flow from your existing shower head. How many litres per minute do you get, and is it adequately hot?

Tried the bucket test with the shower. It gives just over 13 litres per minute and is hot enough to take a shower.

that's about as much as you can get, then, whatever shower head you fit.

If you want a drencher, you'll need a cylinder or a storage boiler.

Maybe I was not clear in my issue - current head has "small" holes for the flow. I just wanted opinions on heads with "larger" type of holes in the head. Maybe good brands heads I can investigate further?

I don't know then, sorry. With bigger holes it will squirt out less forcefully.

OK thanks.
