Buyer wants our range cooker!

Just sold our house in the last few days to a couple who are first time buyers. Received a phone call from our agent yesterday who had been contacted by our buyers who'd asked if we would leave our rangemaster cooker behind!!
Am I right in thinking this is a bit cheeky?! The cooker is listed on the house description as possibly being available by separate negotiation and when I showed them around I made it clear that it would depend on the house we bought & whether we would need to take it with us.
At the moment we've not had an offer accepted on the house we want but it's a doer upper so would need a new kitchen in which case. I would like to hang on to my lovely range!
Am I being mean not throwing it in? They are first time buyers but they're getting a fridge, freezer, dishwasher & wine cooler as they are all integrated into the kitchen.
Not sure what to do Confused

Again, it's normal. They ask if you can include it. You say "yes for £x". They either say yes, no, or offer a lower price.

They are not being cheeky, and honestly if you are going to get worked up about every little thing you're going to find the house sale very stressful!

I think they are asking to negotiate. I don't think it's cheeky of them at all. It's up to you to suggest a price. I'd ask £500 and expect to settle at £400.

Yeah it's cheeky of they expect it for free.
If they're first-time buyers, give them the benefit of the doubt and start negotiations.

Either way, I'd take Kirstie & Phil's advice ..... Don't let one piece of furniture rule in buying / selling property.
Yes, the range cooker is "expensive" but presumably a relatively small sum compared with what you're buying / selling property for? Try to get some money for the cooker if you're prepared to leave it - but don't jeopardise the chain over the heads of a cooker.

My buyer wanted my bookcase, which had been made to fit in the space, and she also wanted the matching coffee table. Fair enough. I named my price - I wanted to maintain good relations by agreeing to this fairly minor thing. In the end, I didn't cash the cheque because the completion date was delayed due to an error at my end, so I decided to compensate her by just throwing them in.

You say yes if they pay full asking price

Go back to the agent and say it depends on what they're offer is whether you will include it
