Anyone else trying to buy at the moment?

Not seen anything I like enough to offer on but I'm just curious if anyone's had any luck with a lowball offer or if things are still going for asking price or even over.

Have spoken to a few EAs and of course they told me people are still overbidding. I've noticed on Rightmove more properties going Under Offer as well now. In the areas I'm looking at in London things are still shifting even if it takes a few weeks instead of days (as it was pre-Brexit vote).

I have just sold mine. It went on the market in Feb at 229,950, loads of viewings but no offers, eventually reduced it to £215,000 and got two asking price offers within days of each other.

I am downsizing anyway, so could reduce my asking price.

It seems there was a degree of nerves before the referendum and then nothing after the Brexit. Had to reduce it to sell, there are a lot of properties that are in my price range still sitting there now & have been on since the beginning of the year!

My offer has been accepted too, again much lower than asking price.

I think with BTL it will be mainly new landlords who will be put off buying
with all the new taxes but nothing to stop those letting out home
and moving into rental in the same area or elsewhere
In fact people moving into areas outside London/SE could push up
the prices in those areas or at least help stabalise
I mean those already established will be juggling their figures and looking carefully at CGT as well

have definitely noticed things picking up in the past week or so. lots of things going under offer after a week like before. damn! was hoping that prices were going to fall a bit longer.
