Staging for EA pics - please give me your top tips

Hi everyone

What are your top tips on making a house look nice for the EA to come round and take pics? I've never sold before, only bought.

So far DH and I have decluttered, bought flowers, moved a few nice pots near front door, mowed lawns, cleaned inside and painted over some scruffy paint on walls. We also plan to wash external doors and window sills. Anything else...?

The worse I saw was a teen bedroom - all dirty knickers and open drawers and comic /sex posters !! Hid the damp!

We also viewed when the people were cooking chips for tea and loads of rusty paint tins in the bath - over flowing bins and cat shot tray in the back step - the joys!

The odd thing is Purple, that house was first listed in April but they still had the Christmas tree up

chloe it's been taken off and relisted. It had been on the market at least a year when we were looking back in April.

Ah ok that makes sense, can't think why it's been on the market do long
