how difficult to shift food smells?

I'm looking for a buy to let. Found a great house that I won't have to do anything to except sort the gardens out, but the inside smells very strongly of curry. It's a very well cared for house and I wouldn't be ripping out the carpets, all I'd want to do to it would be a lick of paint. All the furniture and curtains will be going with the current owners. But will that be enough to disperse the smell do you think? I am an estate agent and I know a lingering smell will put off tenants.

Clean the kitchen with sugar soap, get the carpets cleaned. Air the place.

I think you'll need to get the carpets cleaned, but that isn't v expensive.

A huge scrub of the kitchen, real good clean of the oven and wash and paint the walls + airing the flat should do it.

We had same problem. Cleaned everything twice with. Sugar soap, left bowls of vinegar out, simmered lemons, etc. Replacing the carpets was the only thing that worked. Factor it in to the cost! It can all be done in a day so a simple but costly solition.

Hmm that's what I'm worrying about. Because this house is so 'done' I wouldn't have much budget left to replace carpets. Might have to try and figure out a quote for replacing carpets and take it off what I'm planning to offer I think.
