So scared about what this result means generally for the country. I'm also terrified that our sale and purchase won't happen now. Valuation booked on house we're buying this weekend. Our mortgage is being processed. Buyers were waiting on their advisor getting back from holidays on weds to get their mortgage sorted. Not sure when valuation of our house will be. They have a cash buyer. Is it all likely to go wrong now?!

Fingers crossed you're right. My concern is that I find it hard to believe all will be ok when such a totally wrong decision has been made. I just can't get my head around it all still Sad

Don't worry it's just knee jerk reactions whilst people take stock.

If you are buying a home to live in you'll be ok... You agreed a price can afford to pay for it happy with it don't panic .. Unless your planning to sell up and move on in a few years xx

I think that's the case for us, and for our buyer. Not sure what the plan is at the bottom of the chain.

Thanks Howaboutthisone and Oogle for your kind words!

DH and I have managed to calm each other down a bit Smile If we lose the house we are buying in Toronto, as much as we love it, it's only bricks and mortar. We think that there will be a lot less uncertainty in a couple of weeks.

I was totally stunned by the result. I was so certain it was going to be Remain.

Hope everyone else's deals go through!!

Im not worried about the value of the house or anything as we plan to stay for 15 years or so and are doing a lot of work. Im just hoping affordability criteria don't change by the banks to impact on our mortgage. No word from estate agents or solicitor yet about how the vendor feels about moving the date closer to mitigate the small risk. We are happy for them to stay under an agreement until the agreed date so hope they will see it as a necessary evil to make sure the purchase goes through.
