Composite decking anyone used it?

Just looking for opinions before I splash out about £5k on some.

Would have liked stone but need to raise the patio about 1.5 ft so this seems the best solution avoiding the problems of wooden decking.

Has anyone got it and do you like it, is it slippy and would you do it again?

What manufacturer did you go with and what do you think now?

buckeejit · 16/03/2018 07:07

Just seen this-stilll love the decking. Can't notice the food stain & had forgotten about it. We went with hollow white river product & no problems. We have the grooves in ours like deck boards but the lovely spa has wood look brown non grooves & it's also very nice

Not great pics & see they've used the grooves stuff around the pool.

Friend also has it in cream colour all around her caravan & is a fan. I think it's even improved in the last year somehow

If you watch some recent episodes of DIY sos & the like, they've used it quite a lot & will give you an idea

Spending £5k getting a composite deck built to compliment our new extension. Over 2k spent with Cladco on solid decking.

Cant comment on product as still not arrived after weeks and weeks and cannot get a delivery date confirmation from them as yet (12 phone calls to date!!!!)
Terrible customer service! Promises to call you back and no one ever does. Having to explain the situation over and over and over again to a different person each time.
I've dealt with over 70 suppliers to sort my extension and Cladco are frankly by far the worst customer experience I've had. Need to get their act together.

We recently have had our composite decking from a company called dino decking. The price was one of the better we could find as they're local to myself in the north west (so delivery was free).

Delivery was the week after I purchased and I'm really happy with the outcome. I agree with whats been said above though, it does mark easily with our furniture on it.

Yes!

I have decking from www.dinodecking.co.uk/category/composite-decking-boards/ and I love it! It's really safe for the kids and my pooches. No slipping or splinters. love love love.
