Renting with adverse credit - paying upfront

We have adverse credit from money problems a few years ago. We're looking to rent a larger house - we've found one we like. If we're prepared to pay 12 months rent up front should the credit still affect our chances ?

Did the Agent explain all this to the Landlord before taking your fee?

I presume she has, I've passed all information to letting agent and also made it clear on my referencing forms.

The wait is now on for the outcome from the referencing which is being done by a third party tenant referencing agency (the landlord hub)

Still waiting for results from referencing ..... They've also asked for bank statements and copy of my husbands employment contract.

Meant to be getting the keys on Friday but darent pack until I know for sure !!

Wait is killing me

Who exactly is doing the credit referencing? with experian etc its always a computer only exercise. If its the landlord double checking the results, it would be much better of they met with you for a friendly chat and asked questions.

We've now had an 'offer of tenancy' and provisional appointment to collect keys on Friday.

Just waiting for tenancy agreement now
