Does anyone have a water filter tap?

We currently use a brita jug but its taking up precious worktop space so when we get our new kitchen, we are looking at getting a filter tap. We were looking at brita taps (specifically the torlan) We would save space on the worktop but replacement filter cartridges are around £50 though they do last for around 6months apparently but i just realised that there are other makes and wondering if these are as good/better?

Do you have one? Which model? and is it a PITA to change the cartridges?

Yes,we had it fitted 10 years ago. It's a Franke one. I can't really tell the difference so it's wasted on me

I can definitely tell the difference if we don't use it - our tea comes out murky and slimey (sounds delightful). The tap water itself tastes a bit "pungent" .

We have a Brita tap and filter. I think it might be torlan but not 100%. Works well and easy to change the filter. I'm not particularly bothered about filtered water but DH insists it tastes different.

I used to have a Bristan Empura Water Filter tap in a previous house. Replacement Cartridges were around £18, though it was cheaper if you bought more than one at a time. Worked perfectly well during the 15 years that I lived there and would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We had this one in our old house and the water tasted lovely. We can't fit on in our new house because of the shape of the sink but I'd put one in in a flash if I could

We're in a very hard water area and had a filter tap installed, it's brilliant! Definitely worth the money and great not to have to filter jug on the side all the time.

We have one that is also a boiling tap and I can't imagine going back to having a kettle now. I prefer drinking filtered water anyway so this was a win win for us. I always have a couple of carafes cooling in the fridge.

We are specifically looking for one to use as a normal kitchen tap as well so i don't think the empura or pozzani ones would work for us

We have this one lelf insinkerator.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/insinkeratoruk/hc3300-hot-and-cold-water-tap but in brushed chrome. Got it from John Lewis and I don't think it was as expensive as this. Have just had a look at Johnnies website and can't find it now.

Cartridges very easy to replace.

Ours is Capel and cartridges are very easy to get and replace.
