Sorry for the shameless boasting but after 6 months of living with the most horrible bathroom ever, then having no bathroom at all for a week (and having to pee in to a bucket!)..... It's finally finished! It feels like I'm in a posh hotel! Unfortunately I need to wait a week until I can switch the underfloor heating on though.

Can you tell which is the before and which is the after? Grin

It's very nice indeed but do you have a bath in your house? I only ask because I wouldn't consider buying a house without a bath.

It probably costs less than £500 to install a bath, thisismypassword
It wouldn't be a deal breaker for most people...

I read a little, but not all of your post, then I dove straight into the photos and my thoughts were 'OH MY GOD I'D BE RIPPING THAT OUT!!! What on earth can I say nice about that?!'

😁😁😁😁

The NEW bathroom looks lovely 😊

I wish I'd gone for taking the bath out & putting in the shower I wanted, but I didn't as I'll probably be renting this place out.

We had an almost identical bathroom (same layout, exact same shower screen and tiles) but in PINK. It was vile. We finished ours after Xmas. Enjoy your lovely new bathroom!

Gorgeous new bathroom! But lol at you saying it's 'very small'.

No, we don't have a bath. It's a 4 bed house, but was originally a 2 bed (extended), so there's only 1 small bathroom which is a bit of a pain but never mind.

I appreciate no bath may put some buyers off but We only moved in 6 months ago and have plenty of space / love the area so I can't see us moving anytime soon. And as someone said its not a huge job to install a bath.

morris I used to have a boyfriend who stayed in a tenement in Gorgie and it was tiny! The bathroom hf one of those cloakroom sinks and I remember if you turned the water above a dribble it bounced out of the tiny sink and sprayed all over you! Angry

suzanne well I couldn't use it during the day when the workmen were in, and there were 2 nights where there was no toilet. Firstly when they had to pour levelling cement type stuff on the floor, and secondly when the floor tiles went down and they had to dry. So it was visiting the local MacDonalds (no good for my diet!) during the day, and the bucket for the two nights!

It looks lovely. We are living with a half bathroom (have been for 7 weeks now). We only moved in 4 months ago and our bathroom is huge as it's part of the extension. We have (did have) bath, shower cubicle, sink and loo. The bathroom looked fabulous and was a major reason why we chose this property over another. Sadly, the bathroom (along with most other things in the house) had been installed by a clown.
We didn't notice until water ran through the ceiling in the room below. The shower was not sealed properly. The shower base was the cheapest plastic shit available that flexed and moved as well. So we are down to the bare bones now - shower ripped out, disintegrated plasterboard and floor. We are back to the breeze blocks where the shower once stood. The tiles need to come up. Aaarrgghh. The bath also has problems so is going to have to go too.
It's just a mess and although we are now dry (we think) have no idea where to start. Am starting to call plumbers/bathroom fitters tomorrow and continue shopping for a new shower and bath and tiles this weekend. The gutting thing is that the money we're spending was our new kitchen fund because the kitchen is the houses weak point.
Off to look at empire bathrooms now. Sorry for the long post (need to vent my spleen) but your photo has inspired me to get going on ours.
