All seems normal-ish in the description, but read down to the very last line!

I only see it from the train, thankfully (the Trumpington development, not the house with the special lighting). I would say WTF were the planning committee thinking letting it go through, but thinking seems not to be a major part of the decision-making process for them, so it's pointless to ask.

FatherReboolaConundrum · 10/03/2016 12:26

Grin The UV-lit hot tub looks a bit sinister.

TheFridgePickersKnickers · 10/03/2016 12:31

I think the owner might be an electrician? Grin

QOD · 10/03/2016 12:32

That house is seriously lacking toilets and bathrooms! The 2 bedrooms upstairs to the left look separate upstairs? Weird

Owllady · 10/03/2016 12:41

Or fancies himself as a pimp

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 10/03/2016 12:46

Are they havin' a larf or something with those Cambridge houses? Shock
Russian gulag style (or yes, Beirut) - absolutely NOTHING attractive about the outside of them at all!!

I wouldn't even look at one, let alone pay that amount for one. Foul!

mogloveseggs · 10/03/2016 12:52

You get this for that much near us. Shock at the Cambridge terrace. You'd pay less than £120k here for that!

Owllady · 10/03/2016 12:53

They sell! You ought to see the land round it too, it really is as I say, barren Confused
Anyway I'm always grateful to get home to my father crilly pad in the cuntry

FatherReboolaConundrum · 10/03/2016 13:06

mog that's an amazing house. House prices are a massive problem in Cambridge. Most people who were born here or who work here can't afford to live here, and there's very little social housing because it all got sold off under right-to-buy. There's a lot of anger about it, particularly because so much development is for student flats, or flats that are sold to overseas investors, or insanely expensive developments of soul-less brick boxes.

Owllady · 10/03/2016 13:07

It's worrying that most the hospital workers can't afford to live there really.

mogloveseggs · 10/03/2016 13:14

Father that's awful! I'm always moaning about how grim it is up north but now I'm going to be grateful instead! And start doing the lottery too, can't imagine being able to afford £650k for a house Grin

cittigirl · 10/03/2016 14:15

I'm Shock at prices in Cambridge. I had no idea. I thought they'd be much lower. No idea why Confused

HoneyDragon · 10/03/2016 17:18

My factory's in Leighton Buzzard and I live 45 min away my house is worth around £550k and its nowt special .... I just didn't realise HOW much Leighton Buzzard had increased Shock

HereIAm20 · 10/03/2016 17:37

Just calling by to say hello as a fellow Cambridge dweller, I am constantly like this Shock when I watch property programmes that have decent sized 3 bed semis for £150K!!

Owllady · 10/03/2016 18:13

Honeydragon,, the whole of Bedfordshire has gone up in price...

HoneyDragon · 10/03/2016 19:13

Owl It's all these fucking Waitroses that keep cropping up like mushrooms what's doing it HmmWink

dotdotdotmustdash · 10/03/2016 19:24

An advert for a local Victorian house proudly had a 'dearth of original features' according to it's schedule. I had to email and ask if they wanted to check what that meant.

RaphaellaTheSpanishWaterDog · 10/03/2016 19:31

How odd - the burglary comment Hmm TBH, I wasn't even aware you had to declare burglaries on the property info legal stuff - we last sold in late 2014 and don't recall a q about that (not that we had been, btw!) - although maybe the firms have changed again? Even so, a bloody weird thing to put in an advert for your property!

Even more Shock are house prices in Cambridge. We moved up from Wilts to the West Mids were stuff is much cheaper than we're used to and close to us you can get something like www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-54308786.html or with a larger budget www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-32316915.html?premiumA=true which are both lovely.......or if you don't mind being in Wolverhampton and want a large creepy mansion project, you could get this www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57190220.html

Those Beirut houses are hideous!

RaphaellaTheSpanishWaterDog · 10/03/2016 19:31

where, not were!

RaphaellaTheSpanishWaterDog · 10/03/2016 19:33

forms not firms......fucking autocorrect Angry

Owllady · 10/03/2016 19:37

Yam mad raph, yoaud av to live in wolvo Wink ay it

Lol honey

CocktailQueen · 10/03/2016 19:42

That is a nice road! And a nice part of Leighton Buzzard!

There must be a legal requirement to state if the house has been burgled within a certain time frame. Shame.

dodobookends · 10/03/2016 19:49

That burglary comment might be because there are what could possibly be valuable antiques in the photos.

Having loads of photos of the interior and contents of their house online for the whole world to see might have had unfortunate consequences.

wowfudge · 10/03/2016 23:50

Raph - the question on the property info form is whether you have made any buildings insurance claims and, if so, what they were for.

RaphaellaTheSpanishWaterDog · 11/03/2016 00:16

Wow - does that not just relate to damage to the property though? ie, not the contents? Sorry if I'm being thick Blush
