Bathroom companies - is there anything between B and Q and CP Hart apart from Bathstore?

I'll be doing a cloakroom and an ensuite, and I have massively champagne tastes on a beer budget... I think spending a grand on a loo is bonkers but haven't been able to find anything apart from Bathstore (which I'm definitely looking at) that is mid range, good quality but not a silly price. There are local independents which I will check out, but I have just moved to a WAG heavy area and a lot of little independent chi chi shops are £££££. Anyone care to share a good bathroom supplier with expensive looking sanitary ware?

Dark Blue Eyes - YES there is a place somewhere in between B&Q and CP Hart. I did a complete renovation last year and used a company based in Birmingham called Maison Prestige. I'm based in London and they designed and supplied 2.5 bathrooms. Definitely very competitive and can work towards most budgets yet not compromising on style... Hence B&Q budget with CP Hart style! Customer service is fab and provide 3D designs to help visualise your bathrooms! They also give full size tile samples, which is helpful since they are based far away. I'm using them again for another project next month.

Maison Prestige stock Duravit, Porcelanosa, Laufen, etc, and will beat most quotes. My Duravit 600mm vanity unit worked out cheaper than Homebase and B&Q. Always worth a haggle! :)

Oooh! Going to check them out thank you.

I bought a pencil and graph paper and sized and planned and sourced everything myself.

i did 2 bathrooms, 1wc for $7k including tiles (minimal tiling thought)

Bathroom white goods:
CP hart discount centre's (wimbledon and waterloo
ebay for hansghrohe, catalano products shipped from germany and italy, respectively
ikea wall hung tall cabinet
bathroom discount centre in fulham
internet
i thought sanuex products were pretty nice

we ended up with a matki shower - which we couldnt compromise on due to the fact it had to be a pentagaon

the hansgrohe customer services are based in esher and are very helpful at suggestions and knowledgeable about their products. I called them many times to ask what i needed if i wanted to do x / y / z - that then made it easier to shop around on the internet.

Try Surface tiles in Molsey - its their discount centre and some lovely bargains. We got some fabulous tiles for a fraction of the cost. - cheaper than topps. I then got the bog standard white tiles from tons of tiles or similar web based suppliers.

you also need quite a lot of time to do it this way.

that would be £7k....

That is incredibly helpful thank you. I'm in Esher so can look at those places you mentioned. X

Also, as you're in the area Bleakley's tiles on Portsmouth Road is well worth a look. Lots of large format plain tiles - bit like European Heritage but cheaper. They stock Porcelanosa, too, but will recommend similar tiles for less. They'll prob offer discount, too, as their website says 10% if you mention their site. CP Hart used to price match - the internet may have put paid to that - but it might be worth asking.
