Ooof. Not sure where you'd start with this one.

A skip!

But looking at the cracks in picture 10, I fear the shite is holding the place up.

IShouldBeSoLurky · 01/03/2016 12:52

Ouch, yes, you're right. Actually those make me suspect that there's even more shite in the loft.

wowzer. And the extra shite in the loft may have been what has caused the ceiling collapse in the bathroom.

and it is still over half a million!!

MumOfTheMoment · 01/03/2016 13:19

The cracks Shock

And the clutter has actually made me feel anxious.

Bearbehind · 01/03/2016 13:35

Actually the cracks look even worse in photo 9- judging by the dust in the bottom left of the photo I think the ceiling above that might actually have fallen in.

Slightly scared by the 2 TVs on top of each other in that room (wtf would you do that?) plus the wig in the centre of the spare room.

Bearbehind · 02/03/2016 13:07

I keep thinking about those cracks- how would you fix them as they are on internal walls, the other side of which is in the neighbours house.

MumOfTheMoment · 02/03/2016 14:41

I am just glad that none of it is my problem Grin

shovetheholly · 02/03/2016 15:25

Aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeee!

My PIL's house is only mildly worse than that

PigletJohn · 02/03/2016 16:46

It has a shallow slate roof, so at that age the roof timbers are probably very frail and not suited to anything heavier than a box of Xmas decs.

However if it's not your junk, you have no emotional attachment to prevent you throwing it out.

PigletJohn · 02/03/2016 16:50

p.s.

I think the wall cracks in the room with the map cabinet are where a chimneybreast has been inexpertly removed, and the ceiling panels probably cut out to find a roof leak.

PrimalLass · 02/03/2016 17:39

Look at the angle of the chimney Shock

It needs all the supporting walls put back in.

Good location though.

PigletJohn · 02/03/2016 17:50

Well spotted.

If, as I suspect, the chimneybreast below has been removed, I would be happier removing the chimney and re-making the roof over the gap. It will also be less likely to leak, and need less maintenance.

IShouldBeSoLurky · 02/03/2016 19:38

Yes, it's a lovely road but cracks and clutter aside, the house is small and there's no room to extend. Think they'll struggle to get anything like that price for it.

I quite like the clutter... at least you know it's a home that's been well-loved.

But the chimney... the cracks in the bedroom wall...eeek.

WellTidy · 02/03/2016 19:46

Greenwich is a bloody expensive place to live, isn't it.

whataboutbob · 02/03/2016 19:51

The look is antiques dealer 4 years into a diagnosis of dementia.

Bearbehind · 02/03/2016 20:25

That comment is in pretty poor taste whataboutbob

IShouldBeSoLurky · 02/03/2016 20:56

I'd agree that that level of clutter indicates a problem a bit deeper than "well-loved", though.

£550 for a FTB? How on earth do people afford it?

whataboutbob · 02/03/2016 21:33

Sorry if i caused offence. My Dad has dementia and his pre existing hoarding tendencies got out of control. I'm still trying to deal with his home.

Marmitelover55 · 02/03/2016 23:13

Picture 7 - the bathroom seems to double as another kitchen...

Heatherjayne1972 · 06/03/2016 20:38

must be so dusty I wouldn't even be able to go inside as would have asthma attack

Why don't people tidy up before putting on the market?
