I love old, quirky houses but this one looks almost too old and creepy!

Could you love this house?

Dysart is a lovely seaside village.

By the time we'd finished I have to say I'm not a fan of exposed stone, so we lime plastered most of it it looked infinitely more welcoming (imho Grin).......

I love the panelling and the upstairs rooms and personally I think the foreboding exterior makes it all the more interesting but I probably biased because our current house has a fortress-like frontage from the road as the inside is a pleasant surprise!

That village does look beautiful - I so miss living by the sea, if that housecwasn't so far from family I'd be tempted!

Oh my goodness, I've just looked at the link for the Ramsgate one and I'm in love.......swoon - my favourite style of house and by the sea Grin

Wow Raph you have lovely taste Envy

I'd definitely look at the first one, you obviously need to experience the atmosphere. It may be a very happy house. This comes from someone who very nearly viewed the cave house.

I don't like the sea so haven't looked at Ramsgate.

Ooh, the Ramsgate house is giving me far more heebie jeebies than the Kirkcaldy one. I'd be constantly expecting some Agatha Christie-style murder in that house.

Although the damp in the first would put me off. It's everywhere.

Thank you, Behooven, very nice of you to say so! Flowers
