Aga cooking classes for some one who has NEVER cooked on anything.

My husband has never leaned to cook a proper meal. I want to learn now, but we only have an Aga. Are there classes available for total novice cooks, but he needs to learn to do it on an Aga?

Find your nearest Aga showroom they often do cooking demos. Or by a basic Aga book they usually have all the theory & history behind the machines which might interest him and also some basic recipes.

I want to get cooking lessons for my husband as a present (to myself).
He has never really learnt to cook on ANYTHING before. We only have an Aga so he needs to learn to be able to use that. He helps me cooking if I ask, but I notice he does not even know how to stir a pot (literally), no idea of coordinating cooking times, putting away pots and pans as he goes etc.
Aga cooking lessons are widely available, but they all assume that one can cook already. He cannot. Do you know of any place that teaches cookery for beginners, but not just for people who can cook already and want to transfer their skills on to Aga cooking? I would be very grateful for any recommendations on where this is available. I want to get it for him for his birthday in late February. I think he would like it.

Cooking is not difficult - he should be able to follow a delia recipe - if not, he does not want to learn.

thank you very much for your suggestion about asking the local aga merchant. I will ask them and if they can accommodate someone who knows little to start with. I think it might have to be few days job of lessons to get the skills and the confidence.

Perhaps ignore the Aga part for the time being and see if you have a local cookery school. We have a couple nearby, one in an Italian restaurant and one that seems to be just a cookery school. Their courses are much more basic and concentrate on one thing - like biscuits or pasta or thai food. So much more everyday food and skills.
