what's the shortest time you've lived in a house you have bought?

We've only been in our house for 2 years . I like the house but am not in love with it . It is in the catchment area of an ok primary school but if we moved 5 minutes down the road we'd be in the catchment area of a school with a much better reputation .

Realistically we'd only really have a year to move as dd will start school in 2017.

I just don't know if I have the energy to contemplate moving so soon with all the expense and all the stress. Has anyone moved a short time after buying a house ? Does anybody regret it?

We moved in to this house last November.

I hate it so much I want to move. The previous owners just left it so revolting that I just cannot get past it. Its not like me to bear a grudge but I am struggling to like this house now and feel very heavy and down about it all. I cant see Im ever going to feel different about the house.

Just need to convince DHto move which wont be easy - he works away lots, so hardly been here to see or deal with the endless disgusting things.

Six months. We bought the house we were renting because the landlord was about to go bankrupt and lose the house. We said we would buy it if we could agree a fair price rather than it go to repossession. It was a nice cottage, but we knew a number of things about the area that we really were not too keen on. It sounds mad on the face of it to buy it, but decided to redecorate and spruce it up generally and sold for £30,000 more. I never hated it though,
