Floor socket- does this exist?

We're currently renovating a barn which will have a double height open plan living room. There will be a corner sofa in the middle of the space, nowhere near any of the walls. So I'm wanting a floor socket underneath where the sofa will go to save dragging wires back and forth.

DH says I can have one if I can find one that doesn't flip up, so that either doesn't have a cover at all or has a sliding cover. And I can't find one!

Does anyone know if they exist or where I might be able to find one?

I think I need a picture.
Why wouldn't this work:
Put a small extension lead in to the regular hinged floor socket (left lying flat open). Extension lead always plugged in. Then you don't need to ever move sofa, just need to be able to reach the small extension bit around the side or tucked in behind. Doesn't matter if sofa reaches the ground, it will easily sit over the plug in the floor and lead poking out to the extension bit.

Extension bit may not be pretty, but sheesh, since when are power cords pretty?

Make sure extension lead has an on-off switch... I think this will cut risks in case anyone spills a gallon of water over the floor socket bit.

We did do it in concrete floor with underfloor heating, as well as engineered wood floor with underfloor heating. Does need to be prepared in advance indeed.

One under the dining table for Raclette machine ! (etc.) Some under sofas in living and under areas where floating desks will be in study and bedrooms. We also put 5amp sockets for circuited floor or table lamps.

Why not add a side table to your set up and put the plug underneath? Anyway you will need a place to pit your appliances and it saves you from the trouble of space under the sofa that you will anyway have as mentionned by momb

Why can't the socket be at the side of the sofa rather than under it? The cover will be of the same carpet, it's not going to be hugely noticeable
