Living room with beige walls and beige floor and duck egg sofa. Nicer than it sounds. It's an old house too.
I can't decide but I need something that won't date because we won't be having new ones for a very long time.

Thanks so much for the comments.
I don't love any of them. I think I'll keep on looking.
Thanks for the outlet suggestions, I'll try those.

I like the stripey one but the thing with stripes is that the stripes disappear into the fold when the curtains are hung, so look a bit patchy but this might not matter. Perhaps some stripes which are broader would be easier on the eye.

Sunnyshores · 20/11/2015 10:05

I think 3 and 4 are modern, so will date. I really like the stripes, but stripes can be funny in folds if the material isnt heavy enough.

Duck egg is hard to match with blues, you'd need to look at swatches in real life.

I think a darker blue velvet would look gorgeous.

I like the Elmore (with the trees). Not too keen of stripes or spots in a living room.

I usually look at Laura Ashley fabric first, but they have been less appealing in recent years.

notafanofwinter · 20/11/2015 17:19

Thanks so much for the comments. I don't think I've found the right one.
Laura Ashley weren't so appealing this time, John Lewis are very expensive when you get to the designer end.
I'm going to have another look at Terry's and some outlets but if anyone knows any other good online places I'd be grateful.

I like 3rd best then 4th. Not keen of 1 or 2...

Karcheer · 20/11/2015 17:24

I did link to a fabric but i can't recommend Campbell creations enough. I've had 4 blinds and 2 curtains from them, they beat everyone else on price, quality and service great. I'm doing a big extension at the mo, and all my curtains/blinds will be coming from them.

Somadrightnow · 20/11/2015 17:25

Number 3 by far the nicest, no 2 are ok. Really dislike the first and last ones.

notafanofwinter · 20/11/2015 17:35

I saw Karcher thanks, there look like some lovely ones but I only want the fabric, a friend is making them for me.

You can get fabric from them, I think they are pretty competitive but I found that if you work out what fabric you want there's quite a big deviation on price website to website.

notafanofwinter · 20/11/2015 18:23

Karcheer thanks. I've ordered masses samples, fingers crossed.
