What can I put in a large utility room?

We're finalising plans for an extension, which will include moving the kitchen to the current dining room. We were going to turn the old kitchen into a study and create a utility room somewhere else, but we aren't convinced that we need a study (have desk space in spare room) and it would save money to use the current kitchen as the utility instead. It's a decent sized room for utility (though small for a kitchen!) - about 3 x 2.5 metres. We already gave a downstairs loo and a big cupboard that we keep costs and shoes in, so after we have the washing machine, tumble dryer and sink in, and a space for recycling, what else could we use the room for?

Thinking about it, I'd ideally like for it to not look like another kitchen, so I agree that the wall units maybe are a bit kitcheney. And yes I need a pulley for sure!

I have the 7 lathe one and I can get a whole washing load on mine - you can hang underwear/socks or even shirts on the ends too :) And it dries overnight.

Just remembered a house we rented with a big group of friends once had an amazing utility room with an ingenious drying cupboard. It was basically a double cupboard with 2 full height heated ladder radiators mounted on the back wall and then a double hanging rail - it was brilliant for drying clothes either on the rads or hanging on the rails on hangers and we all said how we'd love one if we had the space.
