Hi
We have decided to buy a wood burner/Log burner but my dh and I are at logger heads as to what to buy. So have decided to ask friends which of our two choices they think would look best.
I like the Stovax View bottom of page on right, DH wants the Yeomans Exe top left on page.
Also can any one advise as to whether it should be a wood burner or multi fuel?
I need to order the stove this week, so it can be fitted before Christmas, so I would really really appreciate any help TY

Could I please hijack this thread to ask if anyone knows about smoke control orders? We've just bought a house that's in a smoke control area, and would like to fit a wood burner (not to power the boiler - just for heating the living room) but I'm not sure what the deal is - does anyone know if we need special permission or similar, or do we just have to buy a model that's approved for use in areas with smoke control orders? Many thanks in advance.

We have a clearview and it's brilliant! Multi fuel so we have both options. Our garden is full of log stores and it still probably won't last the winter so have a few bags of coal in the cellar for when we're running short / have it on all weekend. Coal creates sooo much more ash though so be prepared to empty it daily. We've only burnt coal so far for a month or so every evening and haven't emptied the ash pan once.

Laquila- we're also in a smoke control area. If you get a DEFRA approved stove approved for those areas you can burn wood and smokeless coal. The only difference is you can't fully close the air as it has a stopper. It would cost an extra £100 or so on our stove so we went without and just always keep it a bit open.

Thanks for all you advice. Going with the Stovax as the large window looks great.
